I, not-I, Schelling and ???

For Schelling, the ego-logical me is only an appearance of the I. The ego only purports to claim that it speaks for everything that I is. This is because for the romantic idea conceiving the knowledge of self-consciousness to come to fruition, the knowing I must approach the unknowing I only after anticipating the “never-exhaustibility” of possibilities of self-reflection vis-à-vis the external expression of the inner-self.
